Entry requirements by stage

What we ask for depends on the class your child is joining. Bring the documents listed here to the assessment.

Early Years

Age
In line with the standard age for each class; confirmed with families during the application.
Assessment
An informal settling-in visit rather than a formal test.

Documents

  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Immunisation record
  • Recent passport photographs

Primary

Age
In line with the standard age for each class; confirmed with families during the application.
Assessment
A short literacy and numeracy assessment appropriate to the class.

Documents

  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Report card from the previous school
  • Transfer certificate (for Primary 2 and above)
  • Recent passport photographs

Junior Secondary

Age
In line with the standard age for each class; confirmed with families during the application.
Assessment
An entrance assessment in English, Mathematics and general paper.

Documents

  • Primary school leaving certificate or last report card
  • Transfer certificate
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Recent passport photographs

Senior Secondary

Age
In line with the standard age for each class; confirmed with families during the application.
Assessment
An entrance assessment plus a subject-track discussion with parents.

Documents

  • BECE result or JSS 3 report
  • Transfer certificate
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Recent passport photographs

Transfers from another school

Children joining above the entry class of a stage are usually asked for a transfer certificate and the most recent report from their previous school, alongside the standard documents.

Exact age cut-offs for each class, the assessment format, and whether a waiting list applies are confirmed with families during the application.
