Accessibility Statement

Our aim

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is considered as pages are designed and built, not added afterwards.

What is already in place

• A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing keyboard and screen-reader users reach on every page.
• Pages use real landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer) and a single main heading, so structure is announced correctly.
• The site declares its language as Nigerian English, and page titles are unique and descriptive.
• Every interactive element can be reached and operated with the keyboard, and has a visible focus outline. The main menu and the photo lightbox trap focus while open and close on Esc.
• Colours are chosen for contrast — body text is a deep ink rather than pure black on a warm paper background — and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
• Motion is subtle and brief, and all of it is switched off automatically when your device is set to “reduce motion”.
• Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Text reflows without loss of content down to small screens and up to 200% zoom.

Known limitations

This site is still in active development. Some pages use placeholder text and images while we gather final content, and the embedded map on the contact page is provided by Google and may not fully meet these standards. A full audit is planned before launch, and this statement will be updated with its date and findings.
