From 2009 to today
A young school with a clear direction — built one stage at a time.
Greater Future Academy was founded in 2009 in Gombi, Adamawa State, by Mrs Judith Itohan George-Okunoghae. It opened with a nursery and early primary intake and a small staff, serving families who wanted a more ambitious option close to home.
The school grew year by year. As each intake moved up, a new class was added behind it — first a full primary school, then junior and senior secondary — until Greater Future Academy ran an unbroken pathway from Early Years to Senior Secondary, preparing students for the BECE, WAEC and NECO examinations.
That direction has not changed: an education that meets national standards and then goes further, and that treats character and academic work as a single task.
